Fadi Shuman is one of the most well respected entrepreneurs in online fashion. In 2001 he co-founded Pod1, which designs and develops e-commerce websites for brands such as Anya Hindmarch, Reiss and Coast.
He is also behind another creative e-commerce agency BrilliantUK.
My role at Pod1 involves… primarily managing the UK operations, I ensure that the agency is at the forefront of digital strategies with a particular focus on multi-channel marketing, user centric design and of course e-commerce.
I currently operate between London and New York where Pod1 recently celebrated the 2nd anniversary of it’s international office.
Next year will see me spending more time on growing Pod1 Group, in particular I’ll be expanding the Cape Town office and looking to establish two more offices in Europe and California.
I started my businesses… in October 2001 with Marc Caudron, a university friend. Our mission back then was pretty simple, do better digital work for less and help make our clients online businesses better.
We managed to hit on something relatively unique back then and people liked our style so we grew relatively quickly.
We now work with some of the world’s best retail brands and employ almost 70 people in 3 continents.
I enjoy running my businesses because… it’s all about making ideas come to life. That’s an awesome ability. It’s quite literally a new adventure every single day.
I’m an entrepreneur at heart and Pod1 exposes me to a multitude of brands and the challenges they face that my agency has the skill set to deliver on.
I also love the concept that somehow, in our own small way, we are writing the rule book on e-commerce.
