For the first Fashion Business Club meet up of the year, held at the Swarovski lounge on Great Marlborough street on Thursday, CEO of my-wardrobe.com Sarah Curran was interviewed by Frances Card.
With a bustling turn out and one of the longest question sessions to date, it is clear that the New Year will be a successful one for both FBC and my-wardrobe!
Generating over £1 million of sales in December alone, my-wardrobe has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2006, clearly qualifying Curran’s ability to provide an informed insight into making a success of an online business.
my-wardrobe separates itself from many of its competitors through its ability to retain a personal shopping experience online – from the suggested outfit break downs, to the delivery and packaging, the process is smooth and professional throughout.
This was recognised later on that evening, winning Best Customer Experience at the Drapers Etail Awards – a phenomenal achievement for the company.
Curran considers my-wardrobe to be a safe and trusted online area, using a “friend to friend” approach with care and attention to detail from start to finish.
Notably sharp features of the site include the mytv section – videos of outfits and trends, the style blog (constantly updated) and ‘Inspire Me’ – one of my favourites as it includes the ‘4 ways to wear it’ and the ‘My Inspirtion’ tab.
With brands including McQueen, Vivienne Westwood and Kurt Geiger, my-wardrobe is an accessible designer fashion paradise for online shoppers, both women and men.
Speaking to the FBC, Curran admitted that she couldn’t sit still when it came to my-wardrobe, and following the success of the addition of menswear to the site, it’s fairly safe to say we can expect a lot more from them in 2010.
